Voice recognition in perioperative anesthesia – CASSANDRA supports!

An AI-based team member for perioperative anesthesia is being developed and evaluated as part of the CASSANDRA research project. The integration of speech recognition into the workflow is intended to reduce the time and mental burden on medical staff and improve the quality of documentation. In collaboration with the research partners, we are developing an AI system that understands the anaesthesia team’s dialog and documents the relevant information in real time.

For the simulation study, the actions were simulated in a simulator environment. We cordially invite you to watch the result.

The project “CASSANDRA listens and helps: An AI team member for anesthesiology” aims to improve workflows in perioperative anesthesia by providing an intelligent assistance system that supports the anesthesia team throughout the entire process. CASSANDRA listens in the background and automatically creates the documentation.

From preparation to aftercare, CASSANDRA is designed to help increase the efficiency and accuracy of patient care.
